MARIE A, EDMONTON INT'L A, YARMOUTH A, THUNDER BAY A, CHURCHILL A and SMITHERS A weather reporting stations have switched over to new NAV CANADA sensors and reporting tools. Due to some unanticipated data processing issues related to the new data flow, the display of daily data from these stations is not available on our website at present. However, hourly data is now being displayed for the new stations: OTTAWA INT'L, HAMILTON, DEER LAKEGANDER INT'L, ST. The Cities For All Seasons - The cities with typical Canadian weather - lots of variety, but few extremes. Montreal is the weather winner here -- the "quintessential" Canadian city!

Montréal - A City for All Seasons A visitor to Canada wanting to sample the fickleness and many dimensions of Canada's four seasons would be advised to spend a year in Montréal. That city was judged to be the quintessential city for Canadian weather. Montreal experiences a little bit of almost every Canadian weather condition. The city is nearest to the average for 17 weather categories, followed closely by Fredericton NB and Kingston ON with 15 average categories each, and Ottawa ON , Drummondville QC, and Guelph ON at 14. Honourable mentions also include Québec QC, Kitchener-Waterloo ON, Trois-Rivières QC, Moncton NB, and Sault Ste.Marie ON.
